OOTD & FOTD: A hint of Summer ;)

You guys know that I was supposed to be busy with a dinner party at home. But plans changed and we hosted a hurried lunch instead. The result was a quick head wash and some clothes put together was a sunny winter afternoon. Since it isn't as cold now, especially in the day I just wanted to wear something light and colorful! That explains my outfit of the day....now lets move ahead to the pictures and the details!

Outfit Post: Saturday Night OOTD

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, probably you saw me post this picture on instagram yesterday. We were heading out for a family dinner and I was in no mood to wear my jeans or leggings. These trousers fit like a glove and I decided to give them a go! Because it was a dinner part, formal trousers didn't feel out of place and I paired them with a blouse which had amazing detailing on its neck. To top it all I used a warm shrug to keep me warm :)

OOTD: Boyfriend Jeans with Blazer; an Androgynous Look

Today was one of those days when my mum had an off due to Basant Panchami (i guess) and later in the day I realized that today is also Saraswati Pujo. Did you know that saraswati pooja is one of those rare occasions (I guess the only one) when bengalis don't eat non-vegetarian?! Weird hunh ;) Haha, jokes apart, I <3 Bongs! Oh! Yeah on to the post.....So I got ready without knowing where I was heading to, but I was sure that I'd be shopping for formal pants so I wanted to wear my blazer....

OOTD: Matru ki Bijli!!!

Since I have already shown you my FOTD HERE; I thought I'll go ahead and share with you all my OOTD. As the story goes-I went out with my friends and we watched Matru Ki Bijli. Bijli looked quite emaciated in the movie (Tch!Tch!)-fortunately for me I don't look anywhere close to a Nazi camp dweller.HA!
Anyways-so here's a question for you guys before we move forward-

WHAT PART OF MY OUTFIT DO YOU THINK IS A BRIGHT COLOR? (Is it the coat, the dress, or the shoes)

Any guesses???

OOTD & FOTD: Winter in the Sun ;)

The maternal side of my family decided to take an outing today to the Chokhi Dhani Resort here near Chandigarh. The plan was for lunch and I wanted to get dressed in something other than my long-ish coat; you guys know well enough that I have been working on my body. Hence, on an impulse I picked out a few pieces from my closet, put them together and tried them on (keeping my fingers crossed through the entire process). It was a bright and sunny afternoon and I really didn't want to hide under a coat :)

So here's what I put together....I hope you like it!!!!

4kgs down the drain + GYM OOTD

You know how I raved about my new nutrition program in my POST HERE, but I must also confess that being strict about your diet (alone) is not going to do any good for your body-especially if you don't move your muscles. There was a point in time when I was only gymming and yet not losing even a single kilo only because I was throwing all sort of trash inside my system on the pretext of it being food! Hmmm...
Read on to know what I do at the gym and why I think it is important to wear well fitted clothes to the gym!!!

Getting Ready for the wedding: OOTD & FOTD Wedding day!

You all have been such a great encouragement that I cannot begin to thank each and everyone of you for appreciating my efforts. You know that your support keeps me up, about and posting! So I could not wait to reveal the wedding day outfit with all of you. I'll share with you all a lil trick that my granny told me-i think it works equally well for the bride as well as her bridesmaids and that is to always look a lil subdued for the ceremonies preceding the wedding day-so that when you finally get ready for the wedding-you look absolutely stunning!

Anywho...

I supported a shawl while stepping out cause it was soooooo damn cold-but then I took it off when I reached the wedding!

Getting Ready for a wedding: OOTD & OOTD :P

Happy NEW YEAR!!!!

I'm so sorry for being late, but I was chilling in my hometown-no, I mean literally chilling. It's so fucking cold here in chandigarh-we might as well have snow in a couple of years! Anywho...so I wanted to share with you guys some of the outfits which I wore for my best friend's wedding and also for my cousin's wedding.

First up, let me start with the outfit which I wore for my best friend's sangeet ceremony and then repeated it on 29th December for my cousin's sangeet also! It's one of my favorite sangeet outfits because its green and has just the appropriate amount of detailing required from a pre-wedding outfit.
Generally I'm not the kinds who can support sleeveless outfits (there was a time when I used to wear only sleeveless clothes but ever since I gained weight most of it got stuck on my arms!) and I'm super glad that this anarkali came with sleeves even though they were see-through! Now you cant figure out but theres pink detailing on the upper portion and I'll show it to you in the next picture :)

Getting Ready For a Wedding: Day function OOTD & FOTD

Naaah! Of Course you are not having eye trouble, it's just a blurred picture that I have put up to tease you. I know, it's just a lil mean of me- but I wanted to catch your attention without revealing the details of my OOTD.

LOL.

PARDON ME!

I wore this outfit for a day function at my friend's wedding. The function (in bengali) was called 'aai budo baath' which is a lunch hosted by the bride's parents one last time before she marries off!

Needless to say my OOTD was a litttlllllleeeeeeeeeee over the top for a bengali gathering of 40 people but it was festive and got me in the mood for the wedding nonetheless! PHbbbtttt :P

DIWALI outfit and FOTD

Finally I'm home and free. I just want to give you guys a quick update about what I was wearing... So without further ado, let's just quickly jump to the pictures; I will have to start with my packing after this and hence this will be a picture heavy post! :)

I will begin with a random picture clicked in my parents dressing room. I think the color co-ordinated dresses looked really pretty. Love my mum's hair in this pic!
The next couple of pictures are again from my parent's room, I was just passing time while my mum was getting ready to go visit my various aunts!
I'm wearing my white chicken(?)/chiccan patiala salwar and a kameez which is more like a Kurta. The embroidery and stitching has been done by my boutique.

OOTD/FOTD

Hey Guys!

Before I begin with my OOTD, I would like to apologize for not being regular in updating this space. I was in Delhi for a bit and there I really managed to ruin my skin. Now I'm back strictly following my skin care routine and trying to undo the damage; in this whole process my skin is peeling like that of a snake/lizard(?)...yeah one of those or both or whatever....

ANYWHO let's just jumpt into my OOTD first

This is a snapshot of what I wore on my second day in delhi. Close-up pictures will follow along with details about the outfit. To begin with, there was a slight nip in the air and I could finally resort to wearing my racerback vest with a see-through shirt over it. I hate layering in summers! :( I just cant pull it off...

How To: Wear a Scarf like a dress :)

I was invited for a Sunday lunch by my college friends; having bought quite a few things from the States I wanted to dress up for the occasion while still keeping it a little relaxed.

So, I decided on a pair of leggings from Style & Co. and a racer back tank top from Aeropostale. I wanted to add a bit of drama and keep my love handles (as well as the "not so lovely handles") under wraps!!! Thats when I decided to add in a drape from my closet and use it as a soft layer to keep a check on my posterior ;)
