Review: VLCC Insta Glow Face Pack

If you have been reading my blog regularly then from MY HAUL Post which I wrote a few days back, you must have seen the VLCC Insta Glow Face Pack in the products. This is the first time I've bought any VLCC product (as far as I can remember) and I hadn't heard about this product when I reached my retailer. At that time I was asking him for some kind of face pack which would help lift my mood and my dull skin (I don't care about fairness, I just want my skin to look all silky and smooth). And that is when he offered me this 'Insta Glow' Face Pack... I have been using it since...want to know what I think of it?

Review: The Body Shop Fuzzy Peach Bath & Shower Gel

Having used a few of The Body Shop products, I feel that I have a <3 hate relationship with the company. While few of the products have been stunners, the others have been absolute duds-showing no effects at all. Looking back on all my purchases, I feel that if there is one line from body shop which always stays in my good books, then that is their shower gels. The Body Shop Fuzzy Peach Shower Gel was my 1st shower gel from The Body Shop... read on to know what I feel about it :)

Review: Lotus Safe Sun 3-in-1 Matte Look OR Maybelline Clearglow B.B. Cream OR Garnier B.B. Cream

Now, before I start reviewing any of these products, I must share with you my opinion about the brands. In general I love Maybelline for the affordability of the brand along with the 'better than average products' it comes up with. A few of the products from Maybelline are par excellence and a few are over rated, but overall a very trustworthy brand. On the other hand I have used Garnier face products and have never been impressed by their products-they never work too evidently on my skin! Lotus Herbals is a relatively new brand for me as I have only used their Safe Sun which I talked about here and which I loved. Now, I was shocked by a few products and not so about the others..continue reading to know what I think...

Review+ Swatches+EOTD-New L'oreal HiP Metallic Shadow Duo in Gilded

Needless to say I got the L'oreal Paris New HiP (High Intensity Pigment) Metallic Shadow duo from the states and it costs about $7-8 there. It has not yet been launched in India although I checked on ebay and it is readily available there. You may check on other online portals for more information. If and when it gets launched in India I'm sure it's going to be the biggest rage for a long long loooooooong time. Presumably so, it has become one of my most favorite items in my makeup stash.

There was a time however when I looked at it and wondered how anyone could ever buy an eyeshadow duo. I used to ask myself whether the 2 colors in the duo would be sufficient to give me a desired look....

Review+Swatches+LOTD: NEW Estee Lauder Pure Color High Gloss in Berry Lush

Aunt-my mum's sister...the one who has a presence in almost all my posts...Anyways, so last time she bought me this Estee Lauder Pure Color High Shine Gloss set which has 3 of Estee Lauder's Glosses and a compact mirror. Through this post I'm going to review the Shade Berry Lush and show you how the Pocket mirror looks like!

Review: Fa Whitening Deo Roll On

I remember when I was in school (probably in 7th grade) I had my first tryst with deodorants. You may think that's late though, but I am not a person whose sweat stinks. I mean I sweat a lot and all but I dont stink...so ya whatever. Anyways, what I also remember is at that time FA was a big rage among people my age. I think the brand had just launched its products in India and deodorants used to come in a cute tin can shaped packing. I just remember that I used to love the 'yellow' and I used it for a couple of years before I gave up on deodorants all together. However, of late I have been worrying about my dark underarms and hence I bought this cute lil bottle on my last trip to the retailer. Read on to know what I think about it :)

Review + Lip Swatches +FOTD: ADS Professional Makeup Pencil

On my last visit to my wholesaler (from whom I procured The NIKE BODY SPLASH reviewed here and The INCOLOR Eye-Liner PEN reviewed here) I was shown a unique makeup pencil from the Company ADS. I think I have heard about ADS from all these online stores which sell cheap nail art goodies and eye-shadow palettes. Right? Also, if I am right then ADS is a Belgium based company. IF I am wrong then please feel free to correct me!

Review: Incolor No Limits Beauty Hi-Tech Eyeliner Pen

You guys must have noticed that in all the makeup looks that I do, I usually use the Incolor Liner. So today I thought that I should review this eyeliner pen for you just so that you know what I'm talking about when I refer to this pen.

It is called the Incolor No Limits Beauty Max Precision Eyeliner.

The company claims that it is a Hi-Tech Eyeliner Pen for Professional Makeup Artists. It also says that it is made in China and no, it's not the same as Jordana Incolor Fabuliner....

Review & LOTD: Beauty Rush Glossy Tint Lip Sheen in Blush, Blush

Today, I'm going to review the Glossy Tint Lip Sheen in the color Blush, Blush from Beauty Rush. Beauty Rush is a line from the beauty segment of the International label Victoria's Secret.

On first look this Glossy Tint Lip Sheen appears to be like the Chubby Stick from Clinique. Even though I have not used the Chubby Stick, from the reviews available online I have this feeling that the 2 are very different in formula and usage. However, I must admit that the packing is very very similar.

The packaging shown in this review is the older version (and resembles the chubby stick) but the newer version has signature VS stripes and looks quite different.

NOTD: Revlon 161 Teak Rose

On Wednesday I was travelling to Delhi for an interview and decided to change my nail color from Violet (as supported here) to something which would be a little more formal.

Therefore, I zero-ed in on this lovely shade from Revlon which is the 161 Teak Rose Nail enamel. In India, I guess the shade goes by the number 422 and comes in 8ml bottle.

I got mine from the States and it is contained in a 14.7ml bottle. In India, 8ml costs INR140/-

NOTD: Revlon Top Speed 670 Violet; NAIL TREND 2013

Revlon Top Speed, 670-Violet

So my mum got this one from the States last year. Yesterday when I was trying to pick a color for my nails I looked at all the neons and pinks in my stash and said, "YOU'RE ALL SO 2012; LET'S TAKE A BREAK." With that I hovered over to this violet shade and asked, " Shall we try a One-Night Stand?"

Review: Colorbar Obsessed Orange & Thrilling Pink+LOTD

Hello to all my Dear Desi Beauties (DDBs')!

This post will be a review of 2 lipsticks about which I had heard from more than half of the beauty bloggers in India. Most of these bloggers were raving about this lippies in a way which made my mouth water over them. As such, on my visit to Delhi Last year I could not resist the temptation to haul them. You may visit my HAUL POST here. Anywho, I instantly fell head over heels over these unique colors and had to buy them! I mean had to, had to, absolutely had to :)

Review: Faces Canada Long Wear Eye Pencil in Solid Black

Do you guys remember My October Haul where I bought this Eye Liner by Faces (Canada)? At that time I was not aiming to buy a black liner, but because I was running out of Kajal I mindlessly swatched a few liners including those from Chambor, Maybelline and Lakme. The swatch for this liner instantly yelled 'PICK Me UP' and I just couldn't resist the temptation :D

NOTD: newU 24 Coral

I know I have only put up one (maybe 2) NOTDs here, but I think I should be more regular about posting what's on my nails; that way I can keep a check on my nail care routine too :) Also, I think it would be useful for you guys to figure out what colors will suit your complexion and needs! As a first NOTD without nail art, I want to show you guys the swatches of my current favorite nail color-the NewU Coral (24)
Price: INR 40/-
Quantity: 5ml

I bought this color around 4-5 months back and it is my go-to color. I <3 it so much that I have already used up 1/3 of the bottle (and everyone knows how hard it is to actually use up even a little bit of nail color, now don't you?) The reason why I managed to use up such a lot is because every time my cousins, aunts or even my mom wants me to do their manicure, I use it as an excuse to show off how pretty this color is ;)

Getting Ready for a Wedding Part 1:Review Biotique Revitalizing anti fatigue eye gel and how to get rid of dark circles

So before you jump to any sorts of conclusions and start congratulating me, I just want to state that I am not planning on getting married anywhere in the near future (although the fact that everyone around is so set/anthusiastic to get married is getting me a bit curious and anxious to jump into the bandwagon) RONDOM USELESS THOUGHT. Anyways, so far as the title of this blog-post goes, one of my best friends from law school is getting married on 17th November and as I'm preparing for her wedding I think that it would be a good time to share all my health/beauty/fashion concerns/cures/remedies with you guys.

In the first part, I have decided to talk about under eye dark circles/puffiness and how I have been taking care of my under eye concerns. I know I really tend to crib about my under-eye problems but it is also true that I dont have a major problem, although I have really started getting conscious of taking care of the same. I believe that your eye makeup can really make or break a look, and if you don't pay heed to your under-eye concerns then no concealer will be able to act like your fairy god mother!

Review: LUSH Solid Shampoo-Jumping Juniper and FOTD

As you all know, on my trip to Delhi earlier this month I happened to buy the Lush Jumping Juniper Solid Shampoo as a part of my Haul. This was the first time I was purchasing any lush product and was quite skeptical. My battle with my ever-oily, falling hair had been driving me crazzzzzzzzzzzyyyyy and so I decided to buy this rather steeply priced bar.

Jumping Juniper costs 600INR
The SA told me it would last me through 70-80 washes (for me that would be 5-6 months!!!!)
Hmmmm....not so expensive after all :)

Review: L'oreal White Perfect Re-lightening Whitening Facial Foam & Garnier Light Fairness Face Wash

Let me start off by letting you know that I do not fall in that category of people who have a problem with their complexion. I believe that beauty is not a reflection of one's skin color; it depends on various traits- the 2 most important being the 'features' that you have been blessed with and also the way you 'carry' yourself. Both of these are interdependent & complimentary. Therefore, it is important that we respect and take care of ourselves :)

Having said that, let me also add that before using the products listed in the title I had never in my life used any sort of lightening potions/concoctions/creams etc!

Also, as you guys know, I have been busy with studies  because of which I have taken time off work and as such this time when I ran out of face-wash I was not really hesitant in using up these two products which have been sitting in my medicine closet for a while!

Without further ado, let's quickly jump into the review and here's how the two products look like
