Review: LUSH Solid Shampoo-Jumping Juniper and FOTD

As you all know, on my trip to Delhi earlier this month I happened to buy the Lush Jumping Juniper Solid Shampoo as a part of my Haul. This was the first time I was purchasing any lush product and was quite skeptical. My battle with my ever-oily, falling hair had been driving me crazzzzzzzzzzzyyyyy and so I decided to buy this rather steeply priced bar.

Jumping Juniper costs 600INR
The SA told me it would last me through 70-80 washes (for me that would be 5-6 months!!!!)
Hmmmm....not so expensive after all :)

The bar has a pleasant (citrusy) fragrance of laveander and I love the way my hair smell once I'm out of the shower.

What the company Claims:
Our purple shampoo bar jumps into action to sort out oil problems on top. It cleans away grease and balances sebum production for soft, shiny (in the good way) hair. Fruity juniperberry oil sorts out your oily, congested scalp, while lemon and lime make your hair clean and shiny and give it an extra fresh scent. The incredible herbal duo, lavender and rosemary are superpowers if you’re having troubles in the oil department. Rosemary has been used for hundreds of years for its anti-bacterial capabilities, while lavender is known for its ability to balance and soothe the scalp. You'll be jumping for joy in no time!

My Take:
I am totally and completely in love with this bar. I've been smitten and I dont think it will be easy for me to get over it. I finally know how it feels when people get paranoid about a beauty product. This shampoo has
1. significantly reduced my hair-fall
2. controlled the oiliness of my hair ( i now wash my hair less frequently, earlier I would end up washing it every alternate day)
3. helped me cleanse my scalp of all dirt/grime/sweat in a single effective wash
It is very light on the hair and because it is chemical free it does not have any side-effects.

QUICK UPDATE ABOUT JUMPING JUNIPER:
You dont need to store it in a special tin provided by the company +
It does not melt at normal room temperature+
It will not become gooey like normal soaps (I keep it on my shelf and it doesnt melt)+
You dont need to dry it under the fan or some such :)

    1. You must! We have the same hair type I guess. A lil bit is good enough for a great lather. However, don't rub it on the length of the hair. Run it on the roots and let the lather travel to the length- else the ends will also end up getting dried up.
